MMCA 2026 AND KAZCOMAK 2026 BROUGHT TOGETHER 533 COMPANIES FROM 30 COUNTRIES IN ALMATY

FROM 16 TO 18 SEPTEMBER 2026, ALMATY HOSTED THE 31ST CENTRAL ASIAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION MINING & METALS CENTRAL ASIA 2026 AND THE 22ND KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION KAZCOMAK 2026.

Over three days, the exhibitions were visited by 7,102 industry professionals, while the business programme brought together 80 speakers across 14 events.

This year, the exhibitions demonstrated significant growth: more than 20,000 sq. m of exhibition space featured products, equipment, technologies and industry solutions from 533 companies from 30 countries, which is more than 10% higher than last year’s figure. As part of the large-scale outdoor exhibition, more than 150 units of large-scale machinery and equipment were showcased.

Kazakhstan was represented by 161 companies, while another 372 exhibitors came from abroad. National pavilions were presented by Austria, Germany, Canada, China, Russia and Finland. The exhibitor line-up was also significantly renewed: 182 companies participated in the exhibitions for the first time, accounting for 34% of the total number of exhibitors.

The international status of Mining & Metals Central Asia and Kazcomak was highlighted by visits from representatives of the diplomatic missions of Austria, Belarus, Germany, Canada, Russia, Turkey and other countries. Diplomatic representatives visited the exhibitions of companies from their respective countries, supported national exhibitors and familiarised themselves with the technologies presented and opportunities for further industry cooperation with Kazakhstan.

The three exhibition days were filled with meetings and negotiations. Manufacturers and suppliers of equipment, mining and metallurgical enterprises, technology companies, industry experts and potential customers met at one venue.

“Such exhibitions and industry platforms provide an excellent opportunity to bring suppliers, industry organisations, customers and mining companies together in one place. It is a single point for meetings, professional dialogue, building business relationships and creating connections that contribute to the further development of the mining industry”, said Nada Velemir, Marketing Manager at FLS.

Visitors also highlighted the practical value of the exhibitions. “There are many interesting companies and solutions for the mining and metallurgical industry represented here. Such exhibitions provide an opportunity to learn about the market, see new technologies and find useful contacts for further work”, said Dmitry Betchanov, Chief Resource Geologist at AltynAlmas.

An important part of Mining & Metals Central Asia and Kazcomak 2026 was, as traditionally, the extensive business programme. Its central event was the plenary session “The Future of Kazakhstan’s Mining and Metallurgical Sector: Critical Minerals, Projects and New Growth Opportunities”, where participants discussed prospects for the development of the country’s mineral resource base, the introduction of modern technologies, digitalisation and increasing the added value of products.

The programme also included the AI Stage, Canadian Group Workshop, GEOTECH FORUM, a round table dedicated to German industrial solutions for Kazakhstan, as well as practical seminars by CIDRA Minerals Processing Inc., Composit, Earth Technology, Epiroc, FLS, Normet and Sandvik. The international perspective on the industry’s prospects was presented by Christopher Duggan, Ambassador of Canada to Kazakhstan, who highlighted the country’s significant potential in global mineral supply chains and opportunities for further development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Canada.

Following the three-day event, Mining & Metals Central Asia and Kazcomak 2026 once again confirmed their role as an international industry platform for showcasing modern technologies, developing business relations and professional cooperation. The growth in the number of participants, the significant share of new exhibitors, the broad geographical representation of countries, the large-scale machinery exhibition and the extensive business programme reflect the high interest of the professional community in Kazakhstan’s mining and metallurgical complex.

The exhibitions were officially supported the Almaty City Akimat, the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the ALE Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises (AMME).
