TODAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2025, THE LARGEST INDUSTRY EXHIBITIONS IN KAZAKHSTAN HAVE STARTED THEIR WORK IN FOUR PAVILIONS AND THE OUTDOOR AREA OF THE ATACENT KCDS - THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY CENTRAL ASIAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION "MINING EQUIPMENT, EXTRACTION AND PROCESSING OF ORES AND MINERALS" - MINING & METALS CENTRAL ASIA 2025 AND THE 21ST KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION "ROAD AND INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION, MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT" - KAZCOMAK 2025.
In 2025, there was an increase in the number of participants by more than 22% compared to the previous year. Considering the growth in the number of exhibitors, in 2025, in addition to the usual three pavilions and outdoor area, the exhibition expanded into the new pavilion 8.
The exhibitions gathered 515 companies from 30 countries, such as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Belarus, United Kingdom, Germany, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Netherlands, New Zealand, UAE, Poland, Russia, USA, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, South Korea, South Africa. National stands are presented by Austria, United Kingdom, Germany, Iran, China, Russia, Turkey. Exhibitors presented modern equipment, innovative technologies, and best practices used in exploration, extraction, and processing of minerals.
The interest of foreign and local manufacturers in the Kazakh market is demonstrated by the exhibition statistics: 169 Kazakh and 346 international companies presented their products at the exhibition. 68 exhibitors (13% of the total number) participated with stands for the first time.
The symbolic start of the exhibitions was marked by the Plenary Session with representatives of industry associations and chambers, diplomatic missions, and enterprises, concluding with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The discussion topic "Key Issues of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex: Kazakh Content, Investments, Technologies, Logistics, International Partnership" sparked lively interest among the dialogue platform participants.
Speakers discussed key areas for the development of Kazakhstan's mining and metallurgical complex. The focus was on the investment potential of the industry and measures for digitalization and technological re-equipment of enterprises. Special attention was paid to issues of Kazakh content and the impact of new regulations on company activities. Participants noted the importance of international cooperation and attracting strategic partners to enhance the sector's competitiveness. Prospects for industrial development and sustainability were also considered, with new benchmarks set in the face of global challenges. Concluding the discussion, experts turned to the future of the industry — transformation, innovation, and human capital development as key factors for long-term success. The session was moderated by A. Kukeev, Senior Manager at Strategy& PwC.

Baymishev, President of the Kazakhstan Mining Chamber, Sally Axworthy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nico Schermers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Central Asia, Khan Ilkhan, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Technological Metals Complex, V. Tosakov, Deputy Director, Strategic and Operational Consulting Group KPMG Caucasus and Center - KPMG CCA, A. Sakenov, Project Manager for the creation of Ulytau University.
The ceremonial opening of the exhibitions was attended by speakers of the Plenary Session, as well as honorary guests - I. Sharkan, Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, T. Abdullaev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Atakent KCDS JSC, E. Stroon, CEO of ICA Group. In his welcoming speech, Iran Sharkan noted: "The Mining and Metals Central Asia exhibition has played a key role as a professional international platform for three decades. The President has repeatedly emphasized that further development of the mining and metallurgical complex is a strategic course towards deep processing of raw materials, increasing added value, and introducing innovative technologies. The Ministry of Industry and Construction is actively working to strengthen legislative activities to activate the country's existing internal reserves for the development of the mining sector, attract new investments, and create large-scale projects. I am confident that within the framework of this exhibition we will see many breakthrough solutions." Also, during his speech, the Vice Minister read a greeting on behalf of the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, E. Nagaspaev. "The mining and metallurgical industry is rightfully considered the flagship of the country's economy, making a significant contribution to industrial development and export potential. I would especially like to note that the current exhibition has already gained international recognition and has become the largest event in the mining industry in the CIS. It strengthens Kazakhstan's image as one of the leaders in global mining metallurgy and demonstrates our openness to cooperation," the Minister's message states.
Honorary guests took a familiarization tour of the exhibition, where company representatives directly at their stands spoke about the latest developments, advanced technologies, and ongoing projects, confirming the scale of the platform. To familiarize themselves with the innovative solutions presented at the stands and exchange experiences, delegations of specialists from various divisions of the largest industry players, such as Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, Solidcore Eurasia LLP, Shubarkol Komir JSC, Aksu Ferroalloy Plant - a branch of TNK Kazchrome JSC, SSGPO JSC, Tau-Ken Samruk NMC JSC, Kumtor Gold Company CJSC, Eti Bakir Terexay LLC, Affinage Plant branch of Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC (Kyrgyzstan), visited the exhibition.
There was also increased activity in the seminar zones. On the first day of the exhibition, Kcell Demo Day was held, where event participants could familiarize themselves with practical cases of implementing Private LTE/5G in the mining industry, see partner solutions presentations from Kcell, and establish direct contacts with technology teams and telecom industry experts. Exhibiting companies CiDRA Minerals Processing Inc, Epiroc, NLT EUROPE, Proftec, Sandvik Mining conducted a series of training seminars. At the end of the day, an open panel session of the Kazakhstan Mining Chamber in partnership with the PONEN Association on "The Future of the Mining Industry: Open Dialogue and a Unified Voice" took place.
Tomorrow, there will be a Panel Case Session "AI-Based Solutions for Modern Challenges of the Mining and Metallurgical Complex", a Seminar by the British Embassy "Market Entry Strategies and Sustainable Business Management in Kazakhstan for British Mining Companies", and a Symposium by the German Association. Also, a closed seminar by the Composite company will be held in the seminar zone.
