Kazakhstan will assign 321 billion tenge to road building in 2015-2016

Astana 20 November INTERFAX KAZAKHSTAN - The Government of Kazakhstan intends to assign 321.3 billion tenge to the building and renovation of roads in the Republic (the current exchange rate is 180.87/$1), according to First Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagyntaev.

"321.3 billion tenge will be assigned to the building and renovation of roads in the centre-south, centre-east and centre-west directions. 178 billion will be assigned in 2014 and 143.3 billion in 2016," - the Minister reported at the session of the Kazakhstan-2050 National Coalition of Democratic Forces on the discussion of the "Way to the future" address from the President on Thursday in Astana.

Five major road building projects will be implemented with a total length of 5 452 kilometres. These will include the Astana - Almaty road 1300 km in length, Atana - Ust-Kamenogorsk 950 km in length, Astana - Aqtobe - Atyrau - Astrakhan 1600 km in length, Almaty - Ust-Kamenogorsk - 712 km, Kyzylorda -J ezkazgan - Karaganda - Pavlodar - 890 km.

The implementation of the road building projects will allow for the creation of 200 thousand new jobs in the regions of Kazakhstan.
